Meet Our Team

Ms. Emily Murugi
Founder & President
I lead international climate initiatives that put communities first. With over 10 years of experience in environmental science and community development, I work across six continents connecting traditional knowledge holders with young innovators who create climate technologies.
As Civil Society Representative on the UN Biodiversity Cali Fund Steering Committee, I advocate for Indigenous communities to get fair access to genetic resource benefits.
I founded ICRI Global because the climate solutions we need already exist. We just forgot to ask the right people. Communities worldwide hold centuries of adaptation knowledge. Young people bring fresh technical skills. ICRI Global facilitates these partnerships to create solutions that work in real places with real people.

Mr. Uwe Herbert
Co Founder & Vice President
I’m an ICT specialist with 25+ years in medtech and pharma. I’ve led projects across IT systems, automation, process engineering, and FDA/EMA compliance. I turn regulatory complexity into working systems.
ICRI moves me because it makes climate action a shared promise. Swiss-rooted, politically independent, bridging generations. Young energy meets elder wisdom to create culturally respectful solutions with measurable impact.
I’m co-founder and Vice-President of ICRI Global and active in Green Party Oberbipp.

Ms. Cornelia Jamm
Director of International Relations
I studied applied language sciences and spent decades in climate diplomacy. I managed press relations and government liaison at the Ethiopian Embassy in Germany. I then worked with UN organizations in Geneva, UNEP, and spent twenty years with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Bonn. I hold additional qualifications in Climate Change from the University of Australia.
Climate solutions need both technology and ancient wisdom. Indigenous knowledge systems hold keys to resilience that modern science is just beginning to understand. ICRI bridges this gap by making traditional knowledge an integral part of technological innovation.
