Who We Are
About ICRI Global
ICRI Global runs biodiversity monitoring at terrestrial and marine field sites in under-sampled tropical regions. We combine DNA barcoding, eDNA metabarcoding, camera traps, acoustic sensors and permanent vegetation plots with low-cost decentralised sequencing and standardised, voucher-linked protocols, to establish biodiversity baselines, build the reference libraries that monitoring tools depend on, and track ecosystem change over time. Every record we produce is traceable to its specimen, its site, its method and its custodian, and every site publishes under its own name.

Founder & President
Leads the organisation’s monitoring sites, field protocols and data infrastructure across the tropical regions it serves. Specialist in environmental governance and access and benefit-sharing, with treaty-level standing in the international processes on biodiversity and genetic data.
Mr. Uwe Herbert
Co Founder & Vice President
ICT specialist with 25+ years in MedTech, pharma, and systems engineering. Expert in regulatory compliance and process automation. Co-founder of ICRI Global committed to bridging generations for culturally respectful climate solutions with measurable impact.
Ms. Cornelia Jamm
Director of Policy & International Relations | Board Member
Climate Change Policy Expert with decades of experience at UN organizations, including UNEP and UNFCCC. Applied language sciences background and Climate Change qualification from University of Australia. Integrates Indigenous knowledge with technological innovation.
