ICRI Global is in pilot phase, establishing its first terrestrial and marine monitoring sites and testing the field protocols, decentralised sequencing and data pipeline that make biodiversity measurable in under-sampled tropical regions. We are looking for laboratories, field scientists, data engineers and funders who wish to contribute to this foundational work.
Partner With Us
Host or co-operate a monitoring site, contribute specimens or samples to a reference library, or run a trial of our protocols in your own setting.
Contribute Your Skills
Molecular biology, bioinformatics, taxonomy, remote sensing, field ecology or data engineering. Short placements and remote contributions are both welcome.
Collaborate With Us
Joint method development, protocol benchmarking, shared datasets and co-authored publications with research institutions and monitoring networks.
Invest in Monitoring
Support the establishment of a site, the equipment of a sequencing node, or the production of a reference library. Each is a discrete, costed unit of work with a defined output.

ICRI Global works with research institutions, laboratories, monitoring networks and in-country partners who share a commitment to rigorous, reproducible biodiversity data from the regions that lack it.
Collaboration Principles
Site Custody
Each monitoring site operates under the custody of its in-country partner, which retains authority over specimens, samples and priorities throughout the collaboration.
Attribution
Every dataset is published under the name of the site that produced it. Partners appear as contributors on the terms agreed at the outset.
Standardised Methods
Protocols are fixed, versioned and shared, so that results compare across sites and across years and can be reproduced by any partner.
Consent and Provenance
Prior consent is recorded as a field within the data itself, and every record is traceable to its specimen, its site, its method and its custodian.
Capacity at Source
Partnerships leave trained technicians, working equipment and maintained protocols at the site, rather than dependence on external laboratories.
Accountability to Results
Success is measured by datasets published, reference libraries built, and baselines against which change can be detected.
